Privacy Policy

Account Information: Full name, email address, profile photo, date of birth (for age verification), and location (city/region).

Service Information: Booking details, job descriptions, messages between users, ratings, and reviews.

Payment Information: Payment card details are processed and stored securely by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.

Device & Usage Data: Device type, operating system version, IP address, app usage patterns, and crash logs to improve app performance.

Location Data: We request access to your device's location to help you find nearby service providers. Location is only accessed when you actively use the app.

Photos & Camera: With your permission, we access your camera and photo library to allow you to upload a profile photo, portfolio images, and job-site documentation.

Push Notifications: With your permission, we send push notifications about booking updates, messages, and account activity.

The app may request the following device permissions:

• Location (When In Use): To show nearby service providers and autofill service addresses. You may deny this permission; manual address entry will still work.
• Camera: To capture profile photos, portfolio images, or job documentation. Only accessed when you initiate an upload action.
• Photo Library: To select existing images for uploads. Only accessed when you choose to upload a photo.
• Push Notifications: To send you real-time alerts about bookings, messages, and account activity. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings or within the app under Notification Settings.

You may revoke any of these permissions at any time from your device's system settings (iOS: Settings → OAES; Android: Settings → Apps → OAES → Permissions). Revoking a permission may limit certain app features.

• Process and manage bookings and payments
• Send notifications about service activity and account events
• Verify user identity and age (18+ requirement)
• Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security violations
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Comply with legal obligations

We share limited information in the following cases:

• Between Users: Booking details (name, service, date, address) are shared between customers and providers to complete a booking.
• Payment Processors: Stripe processes payments on our behalf. See Stripe's Privacy Policy.
• Service Providers: Third-party vendors we use to operate the app (hosting, analytics, push notification services).
• Legal Compliance: When required by law, court order, or to protect safety.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. Upon account deletion, we delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (e.g., financial records).

You have the right to delete your account and all associated data. You can delete your account from the app:

Upon deletion, your profile, bookings, messages, and personal data will be permanently removed, except where required for legal or financial compliance.

OAES is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. Users are required to verify their age (18+) during account setup.

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data. No system is 100% secure; we encourage you to use a strong password and protect your account credentials.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict certain processing
• Data portability

Our app uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:

• Stripe – Payment processing
• Firebase (Google) – Push notifications
• OpenStreetMap / Nominatim – Address lookup (no account required, no personal data sent)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
